इस पुस्तक में आँखों के रोगो की रोकथाम, आँखों के लिए उपयुक्त भोजन आदि को विस्तार से बताया गया है ! अज्ञानतावश हम आँख की तकलीफ को सामान्य रोग मानकर द्रष्टि खो बैठते है समय पर उपचार होने से द्रष्टि बच सकती है अत: हमे हमारी आँखों की कार्यप्रणाली एवं रोगी की जानकारी अवश्य होनी चाहिए!

 इस जानकारी को इस पुस्तक में जन सामान्य की भाषा में प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयास किया गया है इस पुस्तक में आंख के विभिनं भाग उनकी कार्य प्रणाली इन भागो से संबधित रोग उन रोगो के कारण रोग निदान तथा उपचार संबंधी नियमो एवं उपचार के प्रोटोकॉल्स को साधरण भाषा में समझाकर बताने का प्रयास किया गया है
